Our Team
The Driving Force Behind click2try
Shifting novel ideas into high gear, the click2try team is a hands-on crew of top technical talent and encore entrepreneurs. We’ve clocked countless laps of experience at more than a dozen major technology firms, but it’s the thrill of high-tech start-ups that really revs our engine. Meet the key drivers who’ve taken us across finish line number eight.
Roy Baird
Take the unconventional, corral it into something more conventional and you’ve defined Roy’s forte at click2try. While thinking outside the box, Roy manages support activities and builds structure and automation into our processes and procedures. A self-taught guru, Roy possesses a wealth of 35 years of experience in the information management business and has donned a variety of hats including programmer, systems analyst, manager and pre-sales-technician. Away from a computer, catch him behind a drum set, woodworking, hot rodding in his ’49 Chevy pickup or cruising on his Harley.

Tom Callaghan
A sage in the software sphere, Tom has been on both sides of the desk and knows all the ins and outs of the selection and procurement process. Following his educational download from The University of Houston at Clear Lake, Tom completed a stint at computer giant Compaq and went on to co-found several successful technology companies including PACE Systems and Presage Technologies. He has served as chief architect for product lines and managed teams in the development, support and technical sales of commercial software. When he’s not relishing time with his wife and three children, Tom escapes terra firma for boating and offshore fishing.

Bobby Cox
He’s all about guts. Bobby’s an eight-year U.S. Navy Veteran of the Gulf War and as our System Administrator, he engineers and builds the click2try IT infrastructure. His range of experience with ISPs, hosting, communication, fabrication and financial companies is as wide as the education he obtained from Japan to Idaho. Bobby’s also logged more than seven years of working with Open Source software. While his wife and children benefit most from his free time, he manages to squeeze in some movies, music and tinkering with new Open Source technologies.

Jeremy R. Easton-Marks
Thanks to Jeremy, what you see is what you get. He's the brain behind the click2try dashboard and viewer. After graduating from Daniel Webster College, Jeremy racked up plenty of real-world experience as a software developer, test engineer, and a consultant for medical and other Web companies. In addition to his Web wizardry, Jeremy brings expertise in several new technologies, keeping us on the cutting edge. Offline, he travels, is an active swimmer and admirably serves his local community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT.

Mario Grech
A connoisseur of corporate development, Mario has successfully blazed the trail for companies on nearly every continent. While his click2try “to do” list runs the gamut from acquiring capital and investor relations to sales and marketing, this self-titled “Company Heat Shield and Whipping Boy” most enjoys bringing brilliant talent together and marveling as they create magic. An alum of the University of Toronto and Rice University, Mario honed his expertise at Sybase, Sun Microsystems, Cray Research and Oracle. When winding down from the whirlwind of high-tech start-ups, Mario dives into fine cooking, reading, the latest techno gadgets, working out and his scuba gear.

Steve Hayward
With his inventive mind, creative abilities and uncompromising attention to detail, Mr. R&D leads the efforts to bring the products and services of click2try to fruition. Because Steve is a big Andy Grove fan, we’ve also put him in charge of all corporate paranoia initiatives to keep us far ahead of the competition. His 25+ years of experience in developing innovative software and steering software development in heavy-hitter firms comes in handy, too. When he’s not pursuing scientific discoveries, this Southern Illinois and University of Texas grad strums his guitar, travels by RV, follows college sports, manages his farm and soaks up country living.

Peter Hughes
Meet the host of geekradio.com. For 14 years, Peter has helped listeners of the Technology Bytes radio show overcome technical challenges. He’s well qualified for the gig, being an Internet addict and avid technology user—all the way back to the Apple Newton! A true believer, this Open Source evangelist inspires Joomla to go beyond its calling and performs near miracles as click2try’s Web eCom master. Peter’s crusades include developing custom code, customizing the catalog component and fulfilling marketing functions, but his insatiable drive is best evidenced by his original 1987 Shelby CSX, #366 of 750.

Not only an experienced technologist, Mark taps his all-encompassing background in customer experience, sales and marketing, and general business to communicate the complicated into something comprehendible.
