click2tryTM Virtual Appliances run in a secure protected network environment. When a click2try Virtual Appliance is started, a secure shell tunnel is created to connect to the available appliance interfaces. These interfaces could be Web (html), Desktop (VNC) or Terminal clients that allow you to interact with your Virtual Appliance. Because of the restrictions many Network Security Administrators put in place (e.g., Firewalls, Proxy Servers), users may be blocked from accessing the click2try appliances.
The click2try Gateway Connection test is an applet that attempt to connect to a click2try gateway server on one of our supported ports. By clicking the "Start Connection Test" button, a Signed Java Applet will be downloaded to your local browser. A Signature dialog will display asking for your approval to run the applet. You should verify that the Signature Source is click2try, and the applet name is c2tConnectTest.
Once the applet is loaded, it will automatically begin the test. If a connection can be made, the
status area will indicate success, and the Status icon will be green. A red icon indicates that you were
unable to make a direct connection to our Gateway server.
